Passed away peacefully at the Elim Meadows Home in Milaca, MN after a long battle with dementia.
Preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Anna Shursen; husband, Richard “Dick”; son Richard J. “Rich”; unborn grandson, Thomas and all of her brothers and sisters.
Survived by her son, David (Barbara), Daughters, Kathy Walters and Barb (Mark) Kortus; grandchildren, Heather, Amy, Michael, Matthew, and Jenny; 10 great grandchildren and her “Adopted” daughter Marylou Sturm.
Celebration of Janet's life will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 1:30pm until 4:00pm at Sandberg Funeral and Cremation Services.
There will also be a service held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 10:45AM at the Milaca Elim Meadows Chapel, 730 2nd Street Southeast, Milaca, MN.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial be made to the Milaca Elim Meadows Home or the Salvation Army in Janet's Memory.
A Private Interment will be held at a later date in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
