Jeffrey Mark Pitchford

JEFFREY MARK PITCHFORD

June 28, 1947 – February 27, 2025

Jeff passed away on February 27, 2025, with his wife, Gayle, by his side. He fought a five week hard fight against super aggressive multiple myeloma.

Jeff was born to James and Helen Pitchford and spent his early years growing up in Longmont, Colorado where his maternal family had resided for many decades. He had fond memories of adventures with his grandfather and grandmother, Fred and Ruby West, and carried forward many business practices he learned from his grandfather.

The family moved to the Denver area and Jeff spent junior and senior high class years at Thomas Jefferson High School graduating in 1965. He has maintained friendships with many of those classmates over the last sixty years.

Jeff proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and was active in the local American Legion and 40/8 Voiture serving in many officer positions including Post Commander.

After years in the banking industry he took the required examinations, became a certified public accountant and operated his private practice for decades retiring only within the last few years. During retirement he enjoyed travel, fly fishing and watching the Colorado Rockies as well as meeting with friends and family gatherings. Jeff and Gayle enjoyed many travel adventures and were never afraid to venture off the beaten path.

He was much loved and will be missed by his wife, Gayle, his sister, Rosemarie, nephews, nieces and especially his two great nieces, Addy and Emmy, who brought him enjoyment, adventures and affection.

Private interment will be held at a later date.
