William David Hogue, 76, passed away on February 15, 2025, in Denver, Colorado.

David was born on October 3, 1948, in Terre Haute, Indiana. He proudly served his country as a Specialist Four (SP4) in the U.S. Army from 1969-1971. Beyond his military service, he was a devoted father, uncle, and brother who cherished time spent with family and friends.

In 1985, David moved his family from West Frankfort, IL to Denver, CO where he retired from the City and County of Denver in 2007.

A passionate baseball fan and avid sports collector, Dave found great joy in attending games and adding to his collection. His love for rock music led him to countless concerts over the years, where he embraced the energy and excitement of live performances.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Erin Hogue, his son, James Christopher Stephenson, his grandson, Jack Stephenson; his sisters Luanne Gass and Janet Cocagne, and multiple nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on March 14, 2025, at 2:30 PM at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, located at 4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236. Services will take place at Staging Area B (3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO 80235).

Dave’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
