Steven George Erickson

Steven George Erickson of Federal Way, Washington unexpectedly passed away at his home on January 23, 2025 at the age of 72. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorothy Erickson, as well as one brother, Martin Peter. He is survived by siblings Robert Erickson, Jeanne Erickson-Deaton (Ken), Mark Erickson and Clare Tatman (Rod) as well as his nephews and nieces Gunnar Erik Erickson, Andrew Esseln, Meghan Deaton, Peter Esseln, Darby Deaton and Mariah Tatman.

Steve was a 1970 graduate of Bellarmine Preparatory School and he went on to study electronics at Bates Vocational-Technical Institute. His 35-year career was spent servicing and training others to maintain industrial electronic machinery. He was keenly interested in astronomy, space science, music and photography. Steve also was an avid collector of stamps, coins, music, rock star memorabilia, postcards, baseball cards and computer equipment.

Steve was a devoted and caring son, brother and uncle to his family. He was a caring man with a lively sense of humor, and a generous uncle who never forgot a birthday or important family event. His friends also knew him for his willingness to lend a hand when needed. He was deeply loved and will always be missed.

Steve will be interred near his brother and parents at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Tacoma, WA. The family invites you to attend a memorial in his honor on Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm at the Roy H. Murphy Community Center, 555 Contra Costa Ave. in Fircrest, WA.
