Carol Christine Wyndham Thompson, 77, entered into rest March 5, 2025. A visitation for friends and family will be held one hour prior at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Sunday March 9, 2025 between 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. A celebration of her life will be held in the Chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Sunday, March 9, 2025 at 2:00 pm. Carol will be reunited with Harold "Tom" W. Thompson immediately following the service at Parkway Memorial Gardens. After the graveside service, the family will have light refreshments at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request donation be made to the Humane Society of Houston County, 810 Carl Vinson Pkwy, Centerville, GA 31028.
Mrs. Thompson was born in Berkley County, S.C. on July 13, 1947 and attended schools in the Charleston, S.C. area and graduated from the High School of Charleston in 1965. She married Harold "Tom" W. Thompson in 1969 and became an Air Force spouse who moved around some until they settled in Centerville, GA where she has been living in the same house for 51 years. She was a proud homemaker who loved her friends, pets, nature, and most importantly, family.
Her husband Harold "Tom" Thompson and parents, Christopher C. Wyndham and Leone Sullivan Wyndham all preceded her in death. Treasuring her memory are her daughter, A. Christine Johnson (Matt) of Lexington, SC., grandchildren: Christopher P. Blymyer, and Jacob M. Johnson of Lexington, SC. Twin sister of Joan Wyndham of Centerville, Georgia and younger sister Miriam Wyndham of Goose Creek, South Carolina. In addition, her step son G. Scott Thompson (Beth) of Durango, Colorado and their children Erin Farmer (Thomas), and their children: Maddie Grace and Luke of Charlotte, NC, and Katie Thompson (Kevin) of Fort Worth TX.
