Flahiff Funeral Chapels & Crematory-Caldwell
Patricia May Sullens
August 21st, 1959 - February 20th, 2025
Patricia May Sullens was born on August 21, 1959 to Richard and Helen Sullens, both have proceeded her in death. She would become the fourth oldest child in a family of six. She is survived by Richard Sullens, Kathy Cassidy, Connie Aevermann, Deanna Flood and Jeri Brown.
Patty was a military child and moved around most of her childhood. She spent time overseas and across the US, most memorably in Germany ( she was a cheerleader and could still count up to ten!) before the family settled in Idaho.
A graduate of Marsing High School, class of 1977, Patty wouldn't enter the workforce straight away and earned her way in life. Mostly working stocking jobs at Kmart and Walmart before retiring to work part time at M&W in Marsing Idaho.
At 26 Patty gave birth to her first child Amy Sullens and four years later her second Jennifer Sullens, both of whom are alive and well. Patty was a kind and generous mother. Her children knew that she would always be there for them with a warm hug and a compassionate disposition and if that failed M&M's were a practical way to solve all issues.
In 2020 Patty became a grandmother to Cash Kelly, a privilege that she never took took for granted. Becoming Grandma Patty would be her crowning achievement.
Patty is so much more than these few paragraphs could ever cover. Her warmth cannot be expressed in black and white letters. If you had the chance to know Patty, you would know that strong currents run beneath still waters. She was a friend for life. Easy to forgive and unfailingly kind. She valued her family above all else and made a point of making sure the people in her life felt loved.
We would like to invite you to celebrate this beautiful woman with us on March 22, 2025 at 1pm at the Txoko Ona Basque Center, located at 333 Main Street in Homedale Idaho. Potluck lunch.
A final thought for those that are missing Patty. I wrote this with a confused, heavy heart. While it would be easy to be angry and tainted by the abrupt unfairness of losing this woman before her time, it would go against who she was. Remember that although life is not always fair or kind, we can be. Patty would remind us that Spring is on the horizon and flowers always come after the rain.
