Marlene D. Smith, 70, of Williamstown, NJ and originally from Philadelphia, PA, passed away on February 28, 2025, with her family by her side. Marlene was born May 31, 1954, daughter of the late William H. and Dolores (Riley) Morrow.

Devoted mother of Dolores (Rutter) Lehrbaum (fiancé Wilbert Bateman), Frank Rutter IV (Kellie); loving grandmother of Alexis Lehrbaum, Liam Rutter and Eila Rutter. Loving sister of Dianne Baylor (William Sr.) and adoring aunt to William Baylor, Jr. and many loving family and friends.

Legacy

Marlene was a fun- loving and easy-going person filled with kindness and love.  She always went above and beyond for her family and friends. Marlene had a smile that would light up a room and a great sense of humor, always keeping everyone laughing. Throughout her life, she could be found dancing at parties and weddings. She was a big fan of movies, often, watching the same movies over and over again. Marlene quoted her favorite movies regularly, highlighting her silly personality.

Of all the joys in Marlene’s life, she was most proud of her children and her grandchildren. Marlene was happiest to be home with her family.  She also enjoyed trying her luck at the casinos and travelling to Wildwood and Disney, they were among her favorite places to be.  Growing up in both Philadelphia and National Park, she would spend summers with her parents and sister in the Wildwoods crabbing and fishing then spending the evening on the boardwalk.  Marlene worked retail and front-end cash management for several organizations, such as Kmart, Walmart, Boscov’s, Dunbar Armored Cars, and eventually started a career with Commerce Bank, working with them as they became TD Bank and finally retiring from TD Bank
