Lois L Reynolds 1929-2025
Lois Reynolds passed away peacefully from this life at 95 on February 15, 2025 to go where she wanted to be, with her husband Clinton and God. She was a cancer survivor of 9 years and lived on her own until her death.
She was born on November 30, 1929 in Glenwood Springs CO to Virgil and Blanche Holcomb. She grew up in Carbondale CO, and always talked about the panoramic view she and her parents had of Mount Sopris from their front room window. Lois referred to it as “My Mount Sopris” and talked about it frequently as she had a great love for its beauty.
As a teen, Lois moved to Denver and lived with her sister Hilda to attend North High School. She then went on to Barnes Business School. After completing business school she and Clinton married in 1948. She worked as a secretary and left that job when they had their first child. She dedicated her life to her 2 children and did not go to work again.
Lois was an accomplished seamstress, loved her flower and vegetable gardens, bowling with her nieces (The Kooky Cousins), and she was always there to listen, without judgment, to what others were sharing with her. She was quite funny, and had the kindest heart of anyone you would ever know. Lois also had a passion for hummingbirds which symbolize love, devotion, intelligence and beauty. All the qualities of Lois.
Lois’ beloved husband of 62 years, Clinton A. Reynolds preceded her in death. She leaves behind her daughter Connie (Dave) Holmes, son Steven (Sharon) Reynolds, 4 grandchildren, Heather (Brian) Turrentine, Cari (Todd) Woods, Justin (Trinity) Reynolds, Cassi (Mark) Scopa and 9 great grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and friends as well.
Rest in eternal peace our precious Mother, Nana, Grandma. You will be forever loved and missed.
Celebration of life and interment will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery on June 13, 2025 at 1:00 PM. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to The American Cancer Society.
