Linda Lee Wyman

We mourn the passing of a truly special woman, Linda Lee (Juschka) Wyman, who always carried a smile on her face and the love of Jesus in her heart. Linda, 79, of Westminster, Colorado, passed away on March 4, 2025.

Born on December 6, 1945, in Wheatland, Wyoming, to Alfred and Leslie Juschka, Linda grew up on the family farm, which was one of the largest dairy farms in the state. She admired her two older brothers, dressed up her cats, and even chauffeured them around the farm in the family car. Her faith was central to her life from an early age. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church on February 3, 1946, and confirmed on May 8, 1960. She graduated from Wheatland High School in 1964 before moving to the big city, Denver, for business school. She later returned to Wheatland, where she put her skills to work at the REA.

Linda married John Wyman on April 26, 1969. They soon moved to Buffalo, Wyoming, where they raised their daughters, Crystal and Marles. A founding member of Prince of Peace LCMS, Linda taught Sunday School, served with the altar guild and LWML, and dedicated herself to her church community. In 1982, once both daughters were in school, she became a secretary at Buffalo High School, where she was lovingly known as the "school mom," always believing in the students—especially the boys with creative tardy excuses. Widowed at 45, Linda was determined to put her daughters through college. During the summer months, she became the beloved "concession stand lady" at the Buffalo city pool. She had a rare gift for conversation, effortlessly drawing out life stories from complete strangers.

Her greatest joy began in September 1999 when she became a grandmother. Retiring in May 2000, she moved to Westminster, Colorado, to be close to her grandson Bryce, and later, her granddaughter Madison, born in 2001. She was deeply involved in their lives, attending their events and volunteering at Homeschool ETC and Walk by Faith Theater. Linda remained an active member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, serving on the altar guild, fellowship committee, food pantry, and treasurer. The church benefited from her love to clean, especially windows, and ironing, making sure the alter linens were pristine and perfectly symmetrical, getting out her ruler to measure.

One of her greatest blessings was spending time with her family, creating cherished memories on trips to Canada, Hawaii, Disneyland, Disney World, Disney cruises, Pennsylvania, an Alaskan cruise, 11 birthday trips with Marles to various locations, and even a dream trip to the Rose Bowl Parade in 2023.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Leslie Juschka, her husband, John Wyman, and her brothers, Fred Juschka and Vern “Shorty” Juschka. She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Harriet, son-in-law, Chris Harriet, daughter, Marles Wyman, and her grandchildren, Bryce Harriet and Madison Harriet.

She will always be remembered for her warm smile, positive spirit, and signature knee-pat for the gentleman beside her. To her grandchildren, she will always be remembered as the maker of the best raspberry Jello and their favorite sing-along partner to Elvis and Barry Manilow. Though we are sad of her passing, we rejoice knowing she is now in the presence of Jesus, the one thing she most looked forward to.

In Lieu of Flowers Donations in Linda’s memory may be made to Send The Light, www.sendthelightnow.org, an organization that provides Christian widows in India with goats or sewing machines giving them the ability to sustain themselves. An organization Linda supported and volunteered for as her daughter, Marles, is instrumental in. Linda was always excited to see Marles’ pictures and hear her stories from her Mission trips—especially those of fellow widows, a journey she deeply understood.
