David Robert Williams, 85, passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on February 26, 2025. Born on May 20, 1939, in Nashwauk, Minnesota, to Ernest and Esther Williams, David was a man of remarkable character, resilience, and skill. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962, a chapter of his life that shaped his deep sense of duty and service to others. Following his military service, David spent many years as a General Maintenance Mechanic at the National Steel Pellet Company, applying his natural mechanical abilities to ensure everything around him ran smoothly. Known for his "fix-it" prowess, his wife, Patti, fondly referred to him as her "fix-it man," as there was nothing he couldn't repair.

David's faith and community were integral parts of his life. He was a dedicated parishioner of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Nashwauk, Minnesota, and continued his commitment to the Church when he moved to Arizona, where he became an active member of St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church in Sun City. He was also a proud member of the American Legion and a former member of Swan Lake Country Club.

A true family man, David cherished his wife of 59 years, Patricia (Patti), with whom he shared a loving partnership filled with memories, laughter, and unwavering support. He is also survived by his sons, Tom (wife Danica) and Kevin, his grandchildren, Katie, Brett, and Ozzie, who brought him immense joy, his brother Ernie (wife Jojo), his brother Bobby and sister in law Angela. David was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Esther Williams, brother Steve and sister Judy. He leaves behind countless friends and cousins who were blessed to know him.

David’s life was a testament to the values of hard work, love, and devotion to family and faith. He touched many lives with his kindness, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church in Sun City, Arizona. The family invites all who knew and loved David to join in celebrating his life and legacy.
