Charles Anthony Sanchez
October 8th, 1949 - February 20th, 2025
Charles A. Sanchez passed away after a long a battle on February 20th 2025 and is now resting peacefully with the lord. He was born on October 8th, 1949, and honorably defended his country in the Navy during the Vietnam war. Charles was a proud husband, father and grandfather. He happily spent his time cooking for his loved ones, listening to music and playing his instruments caring for the neighborhood cats in Barelas, and running the family owned “Model Shoe Shining Parlor” with his son Adam Campos. Charles is preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Sanchez, father Hector Sanchez, sister Lucy Sanchez, brother Hector Jr. and baby brother Joseph Sanchez. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years Nancy Sanchez, son Adam Campos, daughter-in-law Stephanie Campos, his 4 granddaughter Jasmine (husband Angel), Alexis, Brittany and Angelique, his sisters Pearl Sanchez, Lorraine Gallegos and many nieces and nephews.
Everyone loved Charles and he will be missed dearly.
Please join us in celebrating his life. His rosary will be held on March 8th at 10:30am at Sacred Heart Church(309 Stover Ave. SW). His mass will be held on March 8th at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Church, followed by the burial at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery (2957 Arenal Rd SW).
Pallbearers will be Adam Campos, Rick Campos, John Duran, Cedrick Valdez, Sammy Sanchez, Michael Gallegos, and Michael Campos.
Floral arrangements in memory of Charles will be accepted at Riverside Funeral Home at 225 San Mateo Blvd. Ne, Albuquerque, NM 87108
