Richard "Dick" Dale Guyer
December 10th, 1955 - March 7th, 2025
Richard “Dick” Guyer, born in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania, and a resident of Summerville, SC, passed away on Friday, March 7th, following a courageous battle with dementia. He was a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend who touched the lives of many.
Dick retired from Nucor Berkeley in 2018 and was an active member of the Brandywine-Goddard Masonic Lodge. He had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, golfing, and hiking the Appalachian Trail. The mountains held a special place in his heart. When he wasn’t outdoors, he loved telling stories and making those around him laugh.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Debra Guyer; daughters, Tracey (Dale) Brewer and Colleen (John) Brown; and four grandchildren, Austin Allemond, Reagan Brewer, Aiden and Callie Brown. He is also survived by his brother, Mike Guyer; sisters, Debbi (Rob) Wilson and Julie Kellon; brother-in-law, Walt (Kathy) Smith; sister-in-law, Joanne (Ed) Dorsey; and many nieces and nephews. Dick will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Donations can be made to Agape Hospice of Charleston, The Carnation Fund or the Masonic Eye Institute in Elizabethtown, PA. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
