Daniel Lee Johnson

Daniel "Dan" Lee Johnson, 69, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on February 24, 2025.

Born on December 13, 1955, in Yuba City, CA, to Daniel Johnson Sr. and Myra (Vetter) Johnson. He was a 1974 graduate of Marysville High School. 

Dan married his beloved wife, Terese Johnson, on April 20, 1996. Together, they raised three children and created a wonderful life centered around family.

Dan spent years working at Warren's Market before continuing his career at Calvada Food Sales, where he retired in 2022. His dedication to service and work ethic left a lasting impression on everyone.

Throughout his life, Dan enjoyed camping, hunting, hot rodding, and riding his Harley. Most of all, he loved spending quality time with his family.

He established a cherished tradition of attending the NHRA drags with his sons and grandsons. He loved sharing his knowledge and passion with others. 

Dan will be deeply missed by his devoted wife, of 28 years, Terese; his children, Ryan (Meghan) Johnson of Lincoln, CA, Nick (Christine) Eby, of Yuba City, CA, and Tina (Brian) Helzer of Midland, TX; mother, Myra Johnson; and brother, Ted (Holly) Johnson, both of Yuba City, CA. He was a loving grandfather to ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Johnson Sr.; and brothers, John and Kevin Johnson.

A private viewing will be held at Ullrey Memorial Chapel on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 12 to 2 PM.

A graveside service will be held at Sutter Cemetery on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 10 AM. Following the service, please join us for a Celebration of Life at the Yuba City Moose Lodge located at 205 S. Walton Ave, Yuba City, CA.
