Dennis Mcauliffe Mcauliffe

Dennis McAuliffe born in San Francisco, CA, raised in Vallejo, CA, to parents Katherine and Michael McAuliffe, passed away peacefully in his Chico, CA home on February 20, 2025, at the age of 73. Dennis was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. A Proud Irish-Catholic Man. He was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa.

He loved the ocean and ships. He was a huge 49ers fan. He enjoyed all sports but Football and Boxing were his favorite. Nicknamed Duff, by his neighborhood friends growing up, was born in the 50’s and was old school, traditional and, chivalrous. He is known for his endless stories and wisdom. He liked to listen to classic rock, the blues and oldies, his favorite song being "Just My Imagination" by the Temptations. In his past time, he liked to work on cars. His favorite cars were Cadillacs and Buicks. He was also known as the neighborhood watch on our street. Duff built everything for himself from the ground up. He was willing to take chances and bet on himself. He was the fearless leader of our family. My dad never missed a day of work. He worked graveyard shifts at Lifetouch Studios for 10 years before retiring to be a full-time Grandpa. 

He was always supportive of our dreams. He was proud of his kids for working hard and achieving their goals. His family meant the world to him. He gave the best advice. He was my inspiration, motivation and my hero. Being with his family was Dennis's happy place. He was dependable, loyal and loved us all with everything he had. He always said his kids were the best thing to happen to him and he lived for us.

 Dennis is survived by his Wife Brenda, Daughters Brook, Sarah and Katie, Son Michael, Seven Grandchildren and one Great-Grandchild. He is met in heaven by his Beloved Son, Ethan.

Denny is deeply missed by his family. Our rock, our anchor, our protector and our strong leader. We will cherish memories of him forever. He lived a full life till the very end and he did it all his way♥️ To be reunited with joy, love and humbled by the presence of the All Mighty. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
