Nora Christina Greco, 83, of Stony Point, New York, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 19th 1941 in Ballinasloe, Ireland. Nora was the beloved daughter of the late Sarah and Bernard Kelly.
Nora was a devoted wife to her husband Carl for 63 wonderful years. Together, they raised 7 children, Barbara (Frank) Riello, Tony (Maria) Greco, Laurie (Al) Rastelli. Michael (Kristi) Greco. Martin (Nicole-deceased) Greco, Noah Greco, and Cathy McGovern. She is also survived by her two brothers Martin Kelly and Brian Kelly. She was predeceased by her sisters Maureen and Edie, and her brothers Michael and Liam. She was a proud grandmother to her 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Nora was a foster parents for about 40 years taking in almost 35 children. She was very active in her children and grandchildren’s lives. Her face lit up every time they would come and visit her. She was known for always telling people to be “happy happy happy”.
In her spare time, Nora enjoyed gardening, going out with her friends, traveling to Myrtle Beach, feeding her birds, and spending time with her family.
A wake will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, at T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Homes in Garnerville, New York from 4pm to 8pm. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in Stony Point, New York.
Nora will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
