Sylvia Ann Stevens Matthews
November 19th, 1938 - March 8th, 2025
Sylvia was an eloquent soul and her life was lived by kindness, loyalty, and honesty. Sadly her life on this Earth concluded at home surrounded by her loving family on March 8, 2025 at the age of 86. After a private service she will be laid to rest at Parkway Memorial Mausoleum.
She was born on November 19,1938 in Conway, S.C. later moving to Florence S.C. at an early age. There she met and married the love of her life, Don Matthews, on June 23, 1956. She was a true, loving, loyal and dedicated wife of 68 years.Sylvia was an avid supporter of Don's 20 year military career and later co-owner of their Real Estate Brokerage firm. During her life time on this Earth, she touched innumerable Individuals with her big giving heart and love for others.
Sylvia is survived by her husband, Don; daughters: Jowana Butler (Delvin), Jacque Wilbanks (Sherman); Grand-Daughter, Heather Sweatt (Scott); Sisters: Mary Andrews of Camden S.C. and Judy Knight of Cheraw, S.C; plus two Great Grand Daughters, Ava and Zoe.Services will be Private.
