Michael W. Welcher (aka Mick), 77, of Lexington, SC, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025 at his residence in Lexington, SC. He was born on February 29, 1948 in Syracuse, NY, to William and Mabel (Warren) Welcher.
Mick was an artist, a chapter member of Rolling Thunder and a proud supporter of our U.S. Military Veterans. He was a diehard Washington Redskins fan. And he also loved animals and adopted multiple rescue pets over his lifetime.
Mick is survived by his sisters, Mary Karen Persons and Judith A. Layne, as well as his many nieces & nephews - Christi Hilt, Devon Welcher, Wade Persons, Wesley Persons, Gina Miller, Matthew Layne and Cameron Layne – as well as several great nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents and his only brother, Dennis Alan Welcher.
