Rose Ann Bowers
May 29th, 1935 - February 24th, 2025
ROSE ANN BOWERS (age) longtime resident of Tucson passed away on (date). Rose Ann was born in Solon, Iowa on May 29, 1935 to 0. E. and Helen Markitan. She graduated from schools in Solon and Ottumwa Heights College in Ottumwa, Iowa, followed by teaching second grade for four years. Married to Edward A. Bowers on June 20, 1959, they moved to Tucson in 1961. She worked several years in retail including owning and operating her own craft shop in the 1970's. Her interests were arts and crafts, needlework, and decorating. She was a member of Assistance League of Tucson, Chapter W P.E.O. and St. Francis de Sales Women's Club. Rose Ann was preceded in death by her parents. Survived by husband Ed, son Steven of Tucson, daughter Kimberly of Oro Valley, grandchildren Hunter and Payton Walden, a sister in Iowa, a brother in Indiana, and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Francis de Sales Church, 1375 S. Camino Seco (date and time) preceded by the rosary at (time) Memorial service March 21, 2025, 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis de Sales Church. Interment to folow at All Faiths Cemetery, Tucson, AZ
