Emily Stipcevich Maglione, 99, of Woodbury, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2025.
Legacy
Born January 1st, 1926 in Camden, NJ. Emily lived and was born on 431 Winslow Street, in Camden, NJ. Along with her parents, older brother John, younger sister Diane and baby sister Jennie. They moved to Viola Street in Camden when she was 6 years old. She attended Mickle School until she was 16, leaving to work at Whitman's chocolate and then Croft Mill in Camden, to help out the family as we were in the middle of World War I.Emily liked to dance and went to USO events. She loved costume jewelry, eventually learning how to make necklaces, rings and bracelets and then selling them to friends. She was a sharp dresser and loved clothes and the latest fashion. She was a fixer-upper and liked painting and household projects. The family always looked forward to her apple strudel, Chrusciki, and other desserts and cookies for the holidays. Her and her friend loved going to Atlantic City.She married her husband Ralph on May 4th, 1957. They lived in South Philly for 5 years then moved to Pennsauken and eventually ended up in Maple Shade (Watergate), where she was involved with the pool club. They both loved the Casino and did some traveling to Croatia to visit family. Emily was also a parishioner and volunteer at St. Peter Celestine Catholic Church in Cherry Hill. After Ralph passed, she surrounded herself with friends and family. She has been at the Mews since August of 2019.
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Saturday, March 15th from 9:00AM to 10:00AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home-(Woodbury Location). Funeral Service at 10:00AM. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, Blackwood, New Jersey.
