James Aloysius McCoy III, 68 of Englewood, FL, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025 at his home.  

 

Born on January 30th, 1957, in Albany, NY to the late James A. McCoy Jr. (1991) and Joyce I. Dedrick McCoy (2004), he has been a resident of Englewood, FL (Charlotte County) for eighteen years, coming from Rensselaer, NY.  

 

He was a graduate of Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School (NY) - Class of 1975.  James was a Truck Driver for almost 47 years and had recently retired.  

 

He was predeceased by the love of his life and wife, Rita M. Alcombright McCoy (2020).  

 

Survivors include his five children: Matthew (Jackie), Christa, Shawn, Joshua, and Daniel (Stephen); five grandchildren: Tristan (Kiyondra), Ava, Jaylin, Noah, and Gavin; and two great grandchildren: Ellie and Leon.  

 

As per James' wishes there will be no services.
