Juanita Perez Perez de Ceja passed away on Sunday March 9, 2025 at the age of 79 in Salinas, California. Juanita was born on May 10, 1945 in La Tosca, Chavinda, Michoacán, México.
She was an agricultural worker for 40 plus years. She loved to play cards (cinco loco) with her family. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking and seeing family. Despite not going to school for very long she was very good at Math. She had a great loving heart for everyone.
Juanita Perez Perez de Ceja falleció el 9 de marzo con 79 años de edad en Salinas, California. Juanita nació el 11 de marzo de 1945 en La Tosca, Chavinda, Michoacán, México. Fue una guerrera fuerte, trabajadora agrícola por más de 40 años. Juanita residió en Salinas desde 1976. A Juanita le encantaba jugar a las cartas ( cinco loco) con su familia, tejer, coser a máquina, los buñuelos, dulces mexicanos en especial la jalea de guayaba. Disfrutaba de ir a su pueblo Chavinda, Michoacán y cuidar su jardín. A pesar de no recibir mucho estudio fue muy buena en matemáticas. Tenía un gran corazón amoroso para todos.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter, and grandson. She is survived by her brother, three daughters, son, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Son/Hijo: Juan Ceja (Guadalupe Martinez Ceja)
Grandchildren/Nietos: Ignacio Maciel Jr., Carmen Gutiérrez, Martin Gutiérrez Jr., Juan Maciel (deceased), Angelica Gutiérrez, Juan Manuel Gutiérrez, Silvia Maciel, Eduardo Maciel, Juan Ceja Jr., Rubí Patricia Ceja, Juan Diego Ceja.
Great grandchildren/Bisnietos: Charisma Janae Gutiérrez, Julian James Maciel, Kaylee Marie Hernandez, Andres Eduardo Hernandez, Sophia Olivia Maciel, Shayla Rose Gutiérrez, Victoria Isabel Maciel, Martin Gutiérrez III, Nicolas Gutiérrez, Bella Rose Gutiérrez, Mateo Elias Tapia, Paris Mia Akpovi, Ignacio Alissandro Maciel, Milan Eliseo Tapia.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11th from 5:00 pm -7:30 pm. A Rosary will be prayed at 6pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, March 12th at 1:30 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
