Tomi Tripp
August 17th, 1921 - February 28th, 2025
Tomi Koizumi Tripp passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, at the age of 103. She died in the same house in Indialantic, Florida where she had lived for over 61 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Randolph. Tomi is survived by her two sons, Merlin and Lloyd, and her grandson Harrison.
Born in Niigata, Japan, Tomi married her American sweetheart in 1953, and together they moved to America, living in several states before settling down in Indialantic. She adapted to life in America while preserving her cultural heritage, maintaining a close circle of Japanese-American women friends with whom she shared Japanese food and conversation.
Sewing was both a hobby and a passion for Tomi. She crafted her own clothes, her children's clothes, curtains, pillow covers, and more. In their later years, she and Randolph traveled the world, visiting countries including Japan, Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Scotland, Barbados and Costa Rica.
Tomi lived a long and fulfilling life, departing this world with love and dignity.
