Dorothy Marie Imhoff

Dorothy Imhoff of Greeley, formally of Windsor, passed away peacefully at Bonnell Good Samaritan in Greeley, Colorado at the "young” age of 96. Dorothy was born to John and Theresa (Tonweber) Ramm on May 12, 1921 in Maspeth, New York, the eldest of four children. Her parents and brothers, Albert Ramm and John Ramm, preceded her in death. She is survived by her younger sister, Gloria Albrecht, who currently resides in Florida. Dorothy married her husband Frank Imhoff in Jamaica, New York on July 21, 1946 and together they reared a family of four children on Long Island, New York until Frank retired and later decided to move the family west to Colorado, where Frank later died in 1983. Dorothy is survived by her children, Stephen (Mary) Imhoff, Stephanie (Jim) Ganyard, Francine (Doug) Round, Eileen (Steven) Ewertz; grandchildren, Kim Kosik, Becky Round, Aimie (Stephen) Balliet, Josh (Christina) Round, Tim Richardson, and Julie Imhoff, and 8 great grandchildren. Dorothy was an avid reader and a huge huge fan of scrabble and crossword puzzles. Her love of education lead her to take college courses even in her retirement years and it is no wonder that "Jeopardy” was one of her favorite shows. Music, travel, theater, sewing/handwork, church, and family activities were all things that she enjoyed throughout her life which was blessed by the generosity of many. A Celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Bethel Lutheran Church, 328 Walnut Street in Windsor, Colorado.
