Jerry C. Crawford
September 2nd, 1948 - March 11th, 2025
His hands, once so skilled in tending the soil, now rest, but the bounty of his labor will forever be remembered.
Jerry C. Crawford, 76, of Fall Branch went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 following an extended illness. He was born in Kingsport to the late John and Iona Crawford. Jerry was a 1966 graduate of Fall Branch High School. He went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam where he received several commendation medals. Jerry worked for Eastman Chemical Company for over 39 years before his retirement in 2006. He enjoyed landscaping and gardening and shared his produce with his family, friends, and neighbors. Jerry was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond, Robert, Bill, Austin, Kermit, Charles, and Jack Crawford; sisters, Helen Hite and Blanche Lightner; the love of his life, Karen Jones.
Those left to cherish Jerry’s memory are his daughters, Kristeenia Weaver and Kim Crawford; son, Brian Crawford and wife Kelly; grandchildren, Blakely Burger and husband Ethan, John Weaver III, Lana Crawford, Hannah Weaver, and Jake Crawford; great-grandson, Liam Burger; sister, Wanda Faye Forbes; brother, John Crawford; special friends, James and Kaye White; devoted neighbor, Laura Barnett Cody; along with a host of friends and extended family.
A military graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Friday, March 14, 2025 at the VA Mountain Home National Cemetery (53 Memorial Ave Mountain Home, TN) with honors conducted by the American Legion Hammond Post #3/265. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50am.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Asbury Steadman Hill for their loving care and compassion for our dad. As well as Gentiva Hospice for their amazing support for our dad and family.
