Lois Ann Martin Hughes, 80, Born August 10, 1944 in Jemison Alabama. Beloved wife of Mr. Michael O’Bannon Hughes entered into rest on March 10, 2025 at home surrounded by her family.
Services will be at Simplicity: Lowcountry Cremation and Burial 281 Treeland Drive Suite C Ladson, SC 29456 on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 1 p.m. with Bob Lamons officiating. The family will receive friends at Simplicity an hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Hughes was a member of Christ’s Sanctified Holy Church of Hanahan, SC. Most of her professional career was spent as a paralegal for several attorneys in the Charleston area.
Survivors include in addition to her husband son Henry Fredrick Helberg of Goose Creek, SC, Daughter Michelle Looper (Chuck) of Evans, GA, Son Derrick Hughes (Allison) of Waynesboro, GA, Daughter Holly Hughes (Chris Mitchum) of Huger, SC and daughter Cheri Johnson (Taylor Gladden) of Goose Creek, SC, One sister Rose Mullinax, one brother Steve Bolton, 4 grandchildren, Chelsea Zeigler (Stephen), K’lee Mitchum, Anna Kay Hughes and Avery Marie Hughes, and 3 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one grandchild.
