May 7th, 1936 - March 8th, 2025
Michael "Mike" Jones, 88, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, March 8, 2025. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date in Millbrook, New York.
Michael, affectionately known as Mike, was born on May 7, 1936 to the late Spencer C. Jones and Marion Kent Jones. . Mike was known for his sense of humor, work ethic, and dedication to his community and family. Mike enlisted into the United States Army before settling down in New York with his beloved wife, Margaret "Peg" Jones. While in New York, Mike worked on Wall Street as an Investment Manager then later transitioning to United States Trust Company of New York. After many years in New York, Mike and his beloved family moved to Georgia where he would spend his remaining days.
Throughout Mike's younger years, he would enjoy being at Williamsburg Musket Range, firing Muskets and Cannons and raising his sheep in New York. Later in life, he enjoyed making furniture, and helped Peg with her antique business. Mike was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and dear friend that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his beloved spouse of 60 years, Margaret "Peg" Jones; Mike is survived by his sons: Michael Kent Jones and Peter Spencer Jones; grandchildren: Alexander Kent Jones and Andrew Powell.
