William (Bill) R. Kanipe, 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in his home on March 10th, 2025. He was born on January 23rd, 1947, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, to the late Frank and Edith Kanipe.
Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle. He was the founder of K&K Printing company EST 1987, he served in the US Navy from 1963 - 1967, was a Vietnam veteran, and lifelong member of the Sinclair Masonic Lodge number 154.
Bill is survived by his wife, Hazel Kanipe of 57 years; son, Wayne (Sue) Kanipe; grandson, Jarrett (Ally) Kanipe and their two children; granddaughter, Jaide Kanipe; brother, Sam Kanipe; sister-in-law, Pat Kanipe; many nieces and nephews; his namesake niece, Billie Rae Kanipe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Edith Kanipe; his brothers, Herman Kanipe and Elston Segars and his wife Norma.
Visitation will be Monday, the 17th, at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road.
