With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Abbigayle Valentine Mariani, who left this world on March 3, 2025, at the age of 36. She was a beloved wife, bonus mom, daughter, sister, and friend whose warmth, humor, and fierce love left an undeniable mark on everyone lucky enough to know her.
Abbigayle’s life, like so many, was filled with highs and lows — but her struggles never defined her. Her strength did. Despite the challenges she faced, she remained a source of light and laughter, and her love for her family and friends never wavered. Abbigayle’s infectious humor, quick wit, and ability to find joy in the little things will be remembered as her greatest gifts. She had a remarkable way of making people feel seen, loved, and understood.
Her story does not end in her absence — it lives on in the love she shared, the memories she created, and the laughter she sparked. Abbigayle’s journey was complex, but it was also beautiful, and she will be remembered for the way she filled rooms with light and hearts with love.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Kelly Mariani, and his daughters, Sofia and Aubree, whom she adored beyond measure; her loving parents, Brian and Dodi Newbill and Lisa Jean and Mark Ekstrom; her cherished siblings, Stevie and Holden Newbill, Charlie Newbill, and Kyla Newbill; and her step-siblings, Josh Norton, Hunter Swift, and Danielle Ekstrom. Abbigayle’s family meant everything to her, and their love surrounded her throughout her life.
A celebration of Abbigayle’s life will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Kleiner Park Senior Center in Meridian, Idaho. The family invites everyone who knew and loved her to join in sharing stories, laughter, and love in her honor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House or Make-A-Wish Foundation in her memory, two causes close to her heart.
Abbigayle was love, light, humor, and strength. She will forever be missed — but never, ever forgotten.
May her soul rest in peace, and may her laughter echo in our hearts forever.

A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
