Peggy Jane MastersOctober 5, 1948 – March 3, 2025

Peggy Jane Masters, 76, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, at UC Health Hospital. She was born on October 5, 1948, in Denver, Colorado, to the late George and Lois Peters. Peggy was the youngest of two children, preceded in death by her brother.

She was raised in Greeley, Colorado, where she graduated from Greeley Central High School. In 1966, she married the love of her life, the late Terry David Masters. Together, they had five children, one of whom preceded her in death.

Peggy dedicated her life to Christ from an early age. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church before later joining His Place Church, where she rarely missed a sermon.

A devoted wife and mother, Peggy was a stay-at-home mom until her husband became disabled. She then took a job at the UNC Bookstore while also serving as his caregiver until his passing.

Peggy found joy in simple pleasures. She loved playing Bunco and Bingo, often gathering with friends at the Senior Center and the VFW. She also enjoyed trips to Black Hawk, sewing, crocheting, and creating crafts to share with others. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family—watching her grandchildren play sports and cherishing every holiday and family gathering.

Peggy was a kind, caring, and selfless woman, always thinking of others before herself. To know her was to love her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lois and George Peters; her son, Terry David Masters Jr.; and her grandsons, Terald Rogers and Joshua Rogers.

Peggy’s warmth, love, generosity, and funny personality will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving children: Lynette Frost (Mark Martinez), Karla Masters (Lonnie Romero), Jeffrey Masters (Brandi Masters), and Michael Masters (Katie Masters), as well as her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will forever hold her memory close.
