Artie Pearl "Pearl" Pearl Henrix
November 11th, 1946 - February 28th, 2025
Artie Pearl Hendrix, born on November 11, 1946, in Odessa, Texas, to the late Robert and Clarice Hendrix, transitioned to heaven on Friday, February 28, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy that has touched the lives of many. Artie was a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, known for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family.
Artie attended school in Little Rock, Arkansas, before moving back to Odessa, where she graduated from Blackshear High School in 1965. After high school, she moved to Denver to begin her career, but later returned to Odessa to work for the City of Odessa, where she spent much of her career.
Artie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Clarice Hendrix, her brother Richard Hendrix, and sisters Carolyn Hendrix and Margaret Harris. She was also preceded in death by her eldest child, her son Rodney Hendrix.
She is survived by her two brothers, Robert Jr. and Jerry Hendrix of Odessa, Texas, and two sisters, Debra Randolph and Dianne Hendrix of Arlington, Texas. Artie also leaves behind two beloved daughters, Cynthia and Rosalind, as well as eight cherished grandchildren: Laroderick Hendrix, Calvin Daniels Jr., Demone Daniels, Kthono Smith, Darren Willis, Darrell Willis, Breana Pickens, and Cynthia Willis.
Artie Pearl Hendrix’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her spirit will forever be a part of the lives she touched. May she rest in peace.
