Salvatore Pappalardo
October 16th, 1947 - March 8th, 2025
Salvatore T. Pappalardo, aged 77, of West Deptford, NJ passed peacefully while surrounded by family on March 8th, 2025.
Legacy:
“A kind man with a warm smile,” Sal’s positivity and love emanated from every pore in his body. He loved big bands and big celebrations. Sal was the life of the party. His infectious laugh could be heard across the room and his dance moves could be felt in your bones. A lot of that party energy channeled into Philly sports. He loved them all, but I think his favorite pastime was really yelling at them – a true Philadelphia sports fan. He also took his competitive nature to the Bocce Court. He was a member of the Sons and Daughters of Italy in Paulsboro, NJ and played on their Bocce team. He worked most of his life as an IT specialist for Rohm and Haas, Mannington Mills, and Showboat Casino. Then, after retirement, he decided to take a different career path. He worked for the Inspira Mental Health Network Transportation Department. He took great pride in being the “Van Therapist,” which perfectly matched his outgoing personality. Sal squeezed every ounce of joy out of the world, but nothing compared to his love of his grandchildren. From crawling on the floor playing cars and dolls, to pacing the soccer sidelines on the weekend, he was always there.
Family:
Predeceased by his loving wife, Angela, who died in 2015. Devoted Father of Gaetan (Stacey) and Sonny (Vanessa); Popi to Max, Lainy, Sofia, and Enzo.

McGuinness Funeral Homes - Woodbury
We have served the Woodbury community since 1951, when our founder, James A. McGuinness, opened our first funeral home. He knew the importance of families having a trustworthy, local funeral home to help them memorialize their lost loved ones and navigate grief. Our beautiful funeral home in Woodbury was originally built in the late 1700s, and has since been rebuilt to honor its original charm and comfortable, warm feel. Once you walk through our doors, you become family....
