Patricia "Pat" Ann Martin

Patricia “Pat” Ann Martin, born in Eureka, California on March 5th 1947 and a recent resident of Salem, Oregon, passed away on Sunday, February 16th at age 77, following a courageous battle with dementia. She was loved by her family and touched the lives of many in her church community in both Bend, Oregon and Kingman, Arizona.   Pat graduated from Eureka High school, class of 1965 in Eureka California.  Following high school she attended and completed a nursing assistant program and then later on Pat was an active homemaker, mother, and wife while living on a ranch.  Pat retired from her accounting and bookkeeping position on the ranch she shared with her late husband Joeseph Martin in 1994 .  She had a deep love for her grandchildren, her garden, and crafting.  She enjoyed living on her ranch in Prineville, Oregon where she liked doing outdoor activities such as; fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, riding horses, and hiking. The mountains held a special place in her heart. When she wasn’t outdoors, she loved telling stories about her years when living in the mountains on the ranch in Prineville, Oregon. She and her former husband Joeseph Martin founded and established The Lemon Creek Campground adjacent to the Steins Pillar Trails about 20 miles from Prineville, Oregon. She is survived by her loving sons, Kevin Matthew Martin and Michael Kelly Martin, her daughter-in-laws, Sabrina Martin, and Heather Martin, her 6 grandchildren, Dakota Martin, Clayton Martin, Trenton Martin, Braxton Martin, Biar Martin, and Lucille B. Martin.  She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Hardester and her husband Kenneth “Ken”; and many nieces and nephews.  Pat will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of life service will be scheduled at a later date.
