Reamer "Buddy" Boyd Owens
June 2nd, 1938 - March 11th, 2025
Reamer Boyd “Buddy” Owens was born June 2,1938 in Indiantown, SC to Reamer and Catherine Owens. He married the love of his life, “Margie” Dell Jowers, on March 14, 1959. They raised four children together while Buddy worked for over 30 years at Southeastern Freight Lines as a driver and was known as the “Wild Gator”. He lost his beloved Margie in July of 2007. Buddy moved in with his son Mark and his wife Carrie in 2016 and enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing on the lake. Buddy passed away on March 11, 2025 while residing at The Heritage at Lowman Nursing Home in Chapin, SC after suffering a stroke several years earlier.
Buddy was predeceased by his brothers James D Owens, John Everett Owens, Sr, Don Owens & Milton Coward.
Mr. Owens is survived by his children, Ralph Owens (Wendy), Mark Owens (Carrie), Lisa Izzo (Joe), and Darren Owens. Grandchildren, Amy Ford (Jason), Melissa Roe (Howard), Jerry Owens, Helen Izzo and Joey Izzo, along with 8 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great, Great Grandchildren. “Uncle Buddy” was also loved by many nieces and nephews.
