Irene L. Rodriguez

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved Irene Lopez Rodriguez, who left us on March 7, 2025, at the age of 60. Irene was born on April 5, 1964, to Maria Veliz Lopez and Prudencio Lopez, who welcomed her into the world with boundless love. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jose Gregorio Lopez, and her sister Paula Martinez.Irene's life was a testament to the power of love. She was the heart of her family, a devoted wife to her cherished husband, Jose Rodriguez, and a nurturing, steadfast mother to her children: JR, Dustie, Cecilio, Jeronimo, Adrian, and Elaina. Her love and pride also extended to her granddaughters—Olivia, Gabriella, and Layla—who filled her heart with joy. Irene was always there, offering a listening ear, a gentle embrace, and words of wisdom that will be remembered forever.Her love didn't stop with her immediate family. She was a loving sister to Lupe Barbosa, Janie Lopez, Julie Dick, Maria Gonzalez (Lulu), Gricelda Gonzalez (Gongy), and Isabel Gonzalez (Chela). She also leaves behind a large and loving extended family of brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews who she loved dearly and were blessed to know her warmth and generosity.Irene's spirit was one of incredible kindness, compassion, and strength. Her laughter was infectious, and her ability to make everyone feel special and loved was a gift she gave freely. She always put the needs of others before her own, exemplified by her career in the medical field at West Valley Medical Center and St. Alphonsus Pediatrics. She was never one to ask for anything in return, and made everyone who crossed her path feel valued and cared for.Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in knowing Irene's love and light will continue to shine through the countless memories we hold dear. Her legacy will live on in the lives of her children, her siblings, and everyone who was fortunate enough to know her.A viewing will be held at Flahiff Funeral Chapel on Monday, March 17, 2025 from 5:00-8:00 pm, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Irene's beautiful life. Graveside services will be held on March 18, 2025 at 10:00 am at Canyon Hill Cemetery in Caldwell, Idaho.Rest in peace, Irene. You will forever be loved, forever missed, and forever in our hearts.
