Our beautiful Mother, Alma May Lalicker, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at 8:45pm, March 8th, 2025, at the ager of 85, in Tucson Arizona, Tucson Medical Center Rincon.
Alma leaves behind 4 daughters, Roberta (David) Socha, Rebecca (James) Johnson, Brenda (Robert) Lloyd, Patricia (Chuck) Brill.
15 Grandchildren, who affectionately call her “Grama La-La” Stephanie, Stacy, Amanda Ashley, Tiffany, Samantha and Nikki, Jason, Sara, Adam, Dina, Amber, Justin, Carli and Chance
29 Great grandchildren and 6 Great great grandchildren. A sister, Mary (Peg) (George) Bayer. A brother, Carl (Joe)(Cheryl) Griffith.
Alma was proceeded in death by her husband, Raymond in 2003, a great granddaughter, Azaria in 2023, and a great grandson, Zeke in 2025.2 brothers, Dennis (Mary) and Mickey (Sandy) Griffith. 3 sisters, Betty (Cliff) Owens, Shirley (Robert) Howard and Joyce (Robert) Hartley.
Alma was born in Jonesboro, Illinois on November 23rd, 1939. She lived most of her life in the Odell, Dwight and Pontiac areas. Alma and Ray owned a beautiful home in Rend Lake, where they fished, camped, travelled the US on their motorcycle, or in their RV, until Ray's passing. Alma moved to Tucson, AZ several years ago, where she enjoyed bowling and golfing with her daughter, Brenda.
Alma was a life member of the VFW Post 549 in Tucson.
Cremation rights have been accorded. She will be brought home to Illinois to be laid to rest beside Ray.
Funeral Arrangements in Illinois are pending at a later date.
Now you are at peace Momma. We love and miss you knowing you are pain free and no longer suffering for that next breath.
A celebration luncheon will be held at VFW Post 549 in Tucson at 11am on March 22nd.
A graveside service will be held in Pontiac, Illinois on July 12, 2025, with a luncheon following in Cornell, IL at her daughter's home.
