Wayne Gregory "Bubba" Diehl, 85, passed away on March 3, 2025, in Parker, Colorado. Born on April 22, 1939, in Denver, Colorado, Wayne lived a life defined by passion, hard work, and a personality that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

At just 15, Wayne began his lifelong career working on the railroad—a path that became an integral part of his identity. Despite being colorblind, he tackled every challenge with determination and skill. His fascination with trains extended beyond work; he was an encyclopedia of railroad history and could talk about it for hours.

A devoted fan of Westerns, Wayne never missed a chance to watch one on TV. His love for mechanics and craftsmanship was evident in everything he touched. In the 1990s, he found joy as a technician for Legend Cars, embracing the thrill of working with race cars. Whether building a patio over a weekend or fixing a neighbor’s car the next, Wayne’s hands were never idle.

Wayne was known for his grumpy yet lovable nature—impatient at times, but always creative and resourceful. A self-proclaimed "Mickey Mouser," he lived life unapologetically on his own terms. He enjoyed strolling through his neighborhood, striking up conversations with friends and strangers alike. His mother affectionately called him a "busybody," a title he wore with pride.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudia Diehl (Nardin). He is survived by his sister, Charlene Kelley, and his three children, Anthony Diehl, Sean Diehl, and Kelli Kulpa.

Wayne’s memory will live on through the stories shared by those who knew him best—tales of trains, Westerns, and weekends spent building something new.

May his legacy bring comfort and warmth to all who remember him.
