Charlotte Faye McConnell, age 63 of Weber City, VA, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Charlotte was born on November 12, 1961, in Kingsport, TN to Bobby and Margaret Franklin. On August 19, 1979, Charlotte married her most cherished friend, Paul McConnell, and after 45 years of a wonderful life and raising a family, he survives.
Charlotte loved her family and spending time with them. She found peace and comfort in reading her Bible and she attended Orebank Central Baptist Church.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Paul McConnell; three daughters, Christy Ramsey (James), Kimberly Baker (Brian), and Kayla McConnell; seven grandchildren, Michael Hammonds, Logan Ramsey, Lucas Ramsey, Gavin Ramsey, Haley Ramsey, Brandon Ramsey, and Caleb Baker; four great grandchildren, Evan Hammonds, Ryder Hammonds, Addy Hamilton, and Paxton Hamilton; sister, Barbara Guy (Clyde); brother, Charlie Franklin (Anita); and many loving family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 17, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Tim Risner officiating. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm at Holston View Cemetery. Brian Baker, Michael Hammonds, Austin Jones, Jim Ramsey, Brandon Ramsey, and Caleb Baker will be serving as pallbearers.
