Heaven earned a silver-haired 4’8” tall angel on Saturday, March 8th, 2025, surrounded by her family as she passed peacefully at home from congestive heart failure. She was visited in-person and with voicemails by so many of her friends & out-of-town family that we’re certain she knew how loved she was.

Jeanne was born in North Fond du Lac, WI on August 1st, 1942 to Howard and Viola Sindahl. After her parents divorced, she and her brother John split their time between Dubuque, IA with their mom and North Fond du Lac with their dad and stepmother Dorothy Sindahl.

Jeanne graduated from Finley School of Nursing in 1963 and spent 45 years as a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery and nursing homes (where she was a Head Nurse) in Superior, Green Bay, and Wausau and later in her career in Addiction & Recovery at Rogers Memorial Hospital in Oconomowoc. She and her nursing school girlfriends remained close through the years and she adored them.

Jeanne devoted the last nearly 34 years to being sober and helping others become and stay sober. Her dedication and commitment to Alcoholics Anonymous was her pride and joy. She loved so many friends through the years and connected on a deep level with her sisters in sobriety and those whom she sponsored and who sponsored her. She volunteered at AA Central Office every Friday morning for many, many years until she was no longer able – she just loved chatting with everyone there and loved her friends there.

Jeanne loved music from Frank Sinatra to Barbra Streisand, Johnny Mathis to Barry Manilow, Burt Bacharach to soundtracks from movies she loved. She gave all her kids the TV/Movies/Music bug in her own special way. She always loved watching the Oscars, which she was able to watch for the last time this year. Her love of TV dramas was unmatched, and she NEVER missed Hill Street Blues, St. Elsewhere, and NYPD Blue. She introduced us to SNL and MASH and let us stay up late to watch with her.

Jeanne is survived by her children Douglas, Aimee, and Dominic and their partners and spouses. She is also survived by her six grandchildren Josey, Samuel, Natasha, Caelan, Brennan, and Nathan and loved being their “Grammy.” Her sweet cat Chloe is now with her granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her oldest son Daniel, her brother John, and her parents.

The visitation for Jeanne will be held on Saturday March 15, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the start of services at 12:00 p.m. at Cesarz Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home 237 N Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188.

Thanks to everyone at Aurora Zilber In-Home Hospice. What an incredible team. Special thanks to her nurse Echo and her Aide Sam - she adored & trusted them both. Thanks also to everyone at Summit Woods Senior Community for being so helpful and caring during this time.
