Paul Phillip Barabe
December 18th, 1962 - March 9th, 2025
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Paul Barabe, who left this world too soon.
Paul lived life with passion and a boatload of laughter. He was always the life of the party! He never missed an opportunity to make people laugh, usually at the expense of his loved ones. Bowling was more than just a sport to him; it was where he found camaraderie, competition, and enough stories to last a lifetime. Paul could be found at one of his grandkids’ games, dealing a hand of cribbage, or cheering on his favorite teams from the couch, usually with plenty of colorful commentary.
A true connoisseur of comedy, Paul had a movie quote for every occasion. Whether it was Caddyshack, The Big Lebowski, or a classic Western, he could drop the perfect line at the perfect moment. Sometimes to make you laugh, sometimes to make a point, but always with impeccable timing.
But more than anything, Paul loved his family. He and Angie shared a deep love, but it was their grandkids who truly had him wrapped around their fingers. He spoiled them endlessly and made sure they learned all of his finest and most devious antics. His laughter, his stories, and his unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Paul is survived by his wife, Angie; his daughters, Brandi and Sarah; and his son, Schuyler. He leaves behind grandkids Brooke, Leah, Asher, Elijah, Ryley, and one more on the way. His sisters, Julie and Janie, along with many beloved cousins and friends who were lucky to share in his life.
A celebration of life will be held at 7 Seas Brewery (Tacoma) on March 29th at 11:30 AM to honor his memory and the joy he brought to those around him.
Though he may no longer be with us, we take comfort in knowing he's somewhere rolling a perfect game, lining up a perfect drive, or holding an unbeatable hand. Always with a big grin on his face, a joke on his lips, and a movie quote ready for just the right moment.
