Juan "Guy" Rivas Martinez

Juan “Guy” Rivas Martinez was 78 years old when he passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025. Juan was born on June 22, 1946 in Tahoka, TX to Pablo and Paula Martinez.

He was one of 13 brothers and sisters – Mary, Paul, Baby Angel, Tony, Lily, Lupe, Roy, Rosie, Margie, Gilbert, Angie, and Rudy.

With the love of his life, Erlinda, he had three children: Corinna (Jeff), Johnny, and Manuel; forever cherished as “Pampom” by his grandchildren – Dylan (Raeanne), Jonathon, Jeffery, Jonah, Jonnie, and Jonas; and great-granddaughter, Bethany.  

He started working very young and was a man of many talents; every job he had in his life he was good at and he enjoyed working, and loved to provide for his family.  He was an excellent salesman and a charismatic person, and people were drawn to him.  He was and always will be known as the “funny guy” and everyone loved him.  

He lived all over, however, his homebase was Glendale, AZ & Las Vegas, NV.  He loved to travel, he had a passion for fishing, the horse and dog races, classic cars, and his greatest passion was telling stories and laughter. 

Juan was preceded in death by his beloved father, Pablo, his mother, Paula, and by his brothers, baby Angel, Roy and Paul.  

Juan leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him. 

His three children are respecting and honoring their dad’s wishes and there will not be a formal service, however, we encourage friends and family to celebrate the life of their loved one in their own way.
