Paula Paz Downs of Hollister, Ca passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025, after a brief illness with her family by her side. Paula was born on May 1,1946, in Hollister Ca. to Philip and Phyllis Paz. Paula grew up in Hollister attended Ranch San Justo Jr high school and graduated from Hollister High school. She was predeceased by her parent Philip and Phyllis Paz, her son Eugene Mena, her husband Frank L. Downs, her brother Philip Jr. She is survived by her daughter Celeste Mena, twin brother Paul Paz, sister Phyllis Faxon, grandchildren Alex Uribe, Christna Uribe Flores, Gabby Paula Uribe, Rachel Mena, Samantha Mena, her Nieces Michelle Hoffman, Cynitha Castro, Jennifer, nephews Philip Paz III, Christopher Paz. Paula loved being around her grandchildren. She loved watching her Hallmark shows and old western movies. She also loved eating at McDonalds. Viewing and Memorial Service will be held at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Rd Salinas Ca 93905 March 21st from 1-5pm with Eulogies and Sharing at 3pm.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
