Gerald Gene Kleiboer, age 91 of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 16, 2025.  Gerald was born on October 15, 1933, in Forest City, Iowa to Victor and Ruth Kleiboer.  In 1954, Gerald married Bobbie Guthrie and after 66 years of a beautiful marriage, she preceded him in death in July of 2020.   

 

Gerald bravely served his country in the US Navy during the Korean conflict.  Gerald enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and spending time outdoors.   

 

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Bobbie Kleiboer; son, Rodney Kleiboer; two brothers; and three sisters.  Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Gerald Kleiboer Jr,; grandchildren, Tyler Kleiboer and wife Ashley, and Tiffany Webb and husband Cody; four great-grandchildren, Aliyah, Carter, Shiloh, and Lilah; sister, Vicky Seely; brother, Robert Kleiboer; and many loving nieces, nephews, and other family members. 

 

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Carter-Trent Funeral Home Church Hill.  A military honors memorial service will follow at 1:00 pm with Brother Doug Wagner officiating.  Special music will be provided by Tyler Kleiboer.  American Legion Post 2/365 will be providing military honors.
