Jackie Mendel Bradford
November 10th, 1941 - March 17th, 2025
Jackie Mendel Bradford, born on November 10, 1941, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025, in Warner Robins, Georgia. At the age of 83, Jackie now rests in peace, embraced by the warm memories and loving thoughts of her family and friends. A graveside service in Jackie's honor will be held at Parkway Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life during the visitation at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, which will take place between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM on the same day.
Jackie was a devoted wife to her late husband, Charles Leon Bradford, with whom she shared 60 cherished years of marriage. Together, they built a legacy of love and commitment, celebrating life's joys and facing its challenges hand in hand. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Catherine Mendel, and her beloved great-granddaughter, Khloe Bradford.
A dedicated and compassionate individual, Jackie retired after many years of service from Robins Air Force Base and later embraced her calling as a licensed nurse practitioner — a role in which she touched numerous lives with her care and kindness. Her commitment to community was deeply rooted in her faith as an active member of the First Baptist Church of Centerville.
Jackie held dear her roles as a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Jeff (Christina) Bradford and Jennifer (Vince) Underwood. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Christopher (Maria) Bradford, Stephanie (Nick) Wamhoff, Daniel Underwood, and David Underwood, as well as her great-grandchildren, Emilee Bradford, Ariana Bradford, Audrey Wamhoff, and Evan Wamhoff. They fondly remember her infectious sense of humor and her unwavering kindness.
In lieu of flowers, the family graciously requests donations be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice (103 Westridge Dr, Warner Robins, GA 31088), in appreciation of the tender care provided to Jackie. Special thanks to the compassionate staff at Heart of Georgia Hospice and The Oaks at Willow Lake Senior Living, who cared for her with dignity and respect in her final days.
Jackie Mendel Bradford will be remembered for her loving heart, her laughter, and her passion for reading. Her gentle spirit and the warmth of her character have left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She will be missed deeply but held forever close in our hearts.
