Chun Wong

Chun Wong (December 10, 1940- February 25, 2025)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Chun Wong, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who passed away peacefully on February 25th, 2025, at the age of 84.

Chun was born in Guangzhou, China, in 1940. In 1969, he immigrated to the United States to start a new chapter in his life. He spent many years establishing a career as a cook, working tirelessly in the culinary world until his retirement in 2000. Chun's work ethic and dedication were evident in everything he did, from his professional career to his home life, where he enjoyed cooking for his family and especially for his cherished grandchildren. 

Chun was an avid reader, finding joy in reading Chinese newspapers every morning and staying connected to the news and culture of his homeland through Chinese television. He also had a deep passion for gardening and long walks, which brought him peace and contentment. A favorite part of his daily routine was savoring a good cup of morning coffee, a moment of calm before the day began. 

Chun's warm and loving spirit will be forever remembered by his wife, Thanh Le, age 74; his son, James Wong, age 46; his daughter Kim Wong, age 44; his five grandchildren, Sebastian Yuen, Skyler Yuen, Shane Yuen, Carter Wong, and Kaylee Wong; and his sister Lai Wong, who resides in Hong Kong. 

Chun's presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to his family will continue to inspire all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
