Michael Andrew Hunt
March 18th, 1941 - March 16th, 2025
Michael Andrew Hunt, aged 83, passed away on March 16, 2025, just two days shy of his 84th birthday. Born in Hawaii on March 18, 1941, to William & Eleanor Hunt,
Michael lived a life rich in love and dedication, both to his family and his work.
Michael's career spanned an impressive 54 years as a Corrosion Engineer, a profession he undertook with diligence and expertise. Michael would meet the love of his life Marty Hunt at a Singles Again group at Calvary Church. They would go on to be married for 42 years.
Michael found peace and joy in the great outdoors, spending much of his leisure time fishing, bow hunting, kayaking, and photography. These pursuits provided a balance to his industrious career and fostered a love for life's simple pleasures.
Michael was preceded in death by both of his parents, and two brothers Daniel Hunt and Richard Hunt.
Michael's legacy is proudly carried forward by his family. He is survived by his cherished wife, Marty Hunt, and his beloved children, Maureen (Daniel) Sanders and Michelle Conrad (Goddaughter). He leaves behind his grandchildren, Zayden Sanders, Sailor Sanders, and Maverick Sanders. His two sisters, JoAnne Kitchin and Mary Lou Owens, considered Rosa Frazier a second mother and part of their family, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
The family invites his relatives and friends to a Celebration of Life Memorial Service, on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at 2 pm at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service 1111 East Blvd. Charlotte NC 28203. This gathering will serve as a fitting tribute to a man whose life was defined by his generous spirit and profound love for those around him.
Michael Andrew Hunt may have embarked on his final journey, but the impact of his life remains steadfast in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
