Linda Lou Garner

Linda Lou Garner, born on September 21, 1948, in Pocatello, Idaho, passed away on March 15, 2025, in Meridian, Idaho. Linda was the daughter of Charles Mahon and Mildred Ferry. She married William Garner on September 20, 1965, and together they built a life filled with love and family. In 1979, they moved to Mountain Home, where they raised their three children. Later in life, Linda relocated to Kuna in 2024. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Gayleen Mirelez of Alaska and her sons Robert Garner of Washington and Mathew Garner of Kuna, Idaho. Linda was also a cherished sister to Judith Mahon-Miller and Brenda Silver. She found great joy in spending time with her six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Linda had a passion for reading and enjoyed watching Hallmark movies. Above all, she treasured moments spent with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 51 years, William Garner. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boise Bully Breed Rescue in Linda’s honor. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Our funeral home opened in 2005 when Jerry and Janette Rost purchased the business. We’ve continued to grow along with Mountain Home. Jerry’s career began more than fifty years ago in Boise, and along the way, he acquired an 1897 horse-drawn funeral carriage, which we proudly display in our facility....
