Lavonne Anzalone
July 3rd, 1932 - February 26th, 2025
Lavonne “Vonnie” Ruth Anzalone, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025, in Santa Cruz, California, at the age of 92.
Lavonne was born on July 3, 1932, in Monessen, Pennsylvania to Ruth and Page Feightner. She married her high-school sweetheart, Joseph T. Anzalone, in 1955. In 1963, they moved to Santa Cruz, where they raised their family and established deep roots.
Lavonne had a deep appreciation for beauty, both in nature and in the home. Her passion for gardening and flower arranging, always brought warmth and elegance to the spaces around her. Her love for home décor reflected her care and creativity, making every place she touched feel inviting and warm.
She loved holidays and birthdays, ensuring every celebration felt special. She had a gift for going the extra mile to create fun and meaningful experiences for her family. Her warmth, infectious laughter, and thoughtful touches made every gathering a lasting memory.
Her deep love also extended to animals, as she cared for many pets throughout her life, including dogs, cats, birds, and koi fish.
Lavonne was also committed to her community, dedicating years of service to Omega Nu Santa Cruz, where she contributed to local philanthropic efforts.
A dedicated wife and mother, she showed unwavering loyalty and love to her family throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph T. Anzalone.
She is survived by her son, Mark (Kathleen) Anzalone of Copperopolis, CA, and daughter, Hallie (Chris) Wilson of Santa Cruz, CA; four grandchildren: Brook Worrell, Noah Carl, Kaylee Jo (Anzalone) Muccia, and Alexandra Carl; and her great-grandson, Waylon Muccia.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
