Jacob “Jake” Francisco Morgan

We honor the life of Jacob Morgan, a cherished nephew, cousin, friend, and devout man of faith who entered eternal rest with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 3, 2025 at age 46.

Born on May 27, 1978, in Jacksonville, Florida, Jacob was lovingly raised by his single mother, Priscilla Morgan, until her passing when he was just 7 years old.  He then moved to California to be nurtured by the families of his Uncle Sinclair and Uncle Stanley during different stages of his life.  Jacob returned to Florida in his late teens to reconnect with his family there.

Encouraged and supported by his cousin Devine, he relocated to Oregon in 2003.  He stayed with family until he secured employment, saved for a car, and moved into his apartment, achieving independence as a young adult.   Jacob made Eugene, Oregon, his home for the next 22 years, exceling the hospitality industry.  He received regular recognition from his employer and was honored with a Star of the Industry award by the Lane County Lodging Association.

Jacob exemplified deep love for God and was dedicated to a life of kindness, generosity, and humility.  His faith in Jesus was his guiding light, bringing him joy and peace through church attendance and the cherished friendships he built there.  His life was a testament to God's love, which he shared freely with family and friends.  In his free time, Jacob enjoyed reading spiritual teachings, going to the cinema, taking nature walks, engaging in deep, thought-provoking conversations, and helping others whenever possible.

He is survived by his eldest uncle, William Morgan, along with William's wife, Ollie and their children, Michelle and Shawn; his uncle Stanley Morgan and Stanley's three children, Eyenisha, Stanley Jr., and Mona'e; his youngest uncle, Sinclair Morgan, and his wife, Judy along with their daughters, Devine and Dawn; and his youngest aunt, Kay Frances Morgan.  Jacob also leaves behind a loving extended family of second cousins and countless dear friends, all touched by his warmth, faith and compassion.

Though his passing leaves an ache in our hearts, we find comfort in knowing that Jacob is now at peace, embraced by the love of the Lord he served so faithfully.  His memory will be cherished, his kindness remembered, and his faith celebrated.

Loved ones held a private Celebration of Life for Jacob.
