Chase Hartsell
November 16th, 1984 - March 17th, 2025
Chase Hartsell, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on March 17, 2025, in Oakboro, NC, at the age of 40. A Marine Corps veteran and graduate of West Stanly High School, Chase was known for his hardworking and humble nature, his loyalty, his generosity, and his humor. He had a passion for all things sports, and in his free time you could find him cheering on his kids from the sidelines or watching his favorite team, the Carolina Tarheels.
Chase is survived by his three beautiful children, Lawson, Paisley, and Sage; his parents, Rodney and Tammy Hartsell; his sister, Krista Yow (Mark); his grandmother, Pansy Morton; and his four nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Caleb Hartsell, and his grandparents, Jerry and Annie Hartsell and Terrell Morton.
A memorial service to honor Chase’s life will be held on March 23, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Oakboro Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to gather at his parents’ home following the service to share stories and celebrate his memory.
Though Chase’s time here was far too brief, the love he shared and the laughter he inspired will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a memorial fund for his children: https://gofund.me/6b154d03
