Judith Irene Pierce was born in Anchorage Alaska on June 18, 1959 the third child and the second of twins to William and Lois Pierce. Judy is part of a few people who remember their birth. Judy remembers her twin Rick, kicking her in the face as he was born first. In 1971, they moved to Molalla Oregon to grow holly for Christmas decorations. She was educated in the Molalla public schools. She loved riding her horse "Copper" and working on the family farm. Invited to Church by her friend Pam Robbins, she gave her heart to Jesus and began a relationship with God. In 1977 she graduated from high school and started studying horticulture at Oregon State University. She was active in "Campus Action" the campus group of the Assembly of God Church. While rooming with girls in "Campus Action" she met her love, Richard. Judy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in horticulture in the spring of 1982 and was married in December of 1983. In January of 1985 Judy and Richard moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho while her husband pursued a career in public education. Judy worked in local greenhouses and began studying operatic voice lessons. She was also active in New Life Assembly of God singing in the choir and being part of the Women's group. In 1988-1990 they moved to Moscow Idaho while Richard worked on his master’s degree. Judy worked in the campus greenhouses and studied voice in the University of Idaho vocal department. In the campus production of "Hansel and Gretel" she played the part of the "Wicked Witch" as well chorus parts in "South Pacific." In the fall of 1990, they moved back to Idaho Falls. Judy resumed her studies in voice participating in church vocal groups as well as the Idaho Falls Opera Theatre. She sang in chorus roles of local operas culminating in the lead role of Josephine in "H. M. S. Pinafore." Later she became the costume mistress for the theatre. In May of 1996 Judy gave birth to their favorite son Richard. She also began a home greenhouse business called "Judy's Greenhouse." On Saturdays she would be found at the local farmers market and for 5 years managed the farmers market so local vendors can sell plants and vegetables. Judy also sang in a rock-show group called "45 RPM". They toured the area singing 50-60 music from 1996-2000. For ten years she played the part of Little Red Riding Hood in local elementary schools. In the year of her pregnancy, her look in the Little Red costume took on an interesting take. In 1996 she moved to the country outside Shelley Idaho. She enjoyed farm life working in her greenhouse and raising chickens. For 14 years she worked for J.C. Penny's as a retail associate and Lowe's as a Garden Associate. In 2022 she retired to spend time with her husband Richard. Judy's had many interests and hobbies in her lifetime. She was an artist and painter. At Penny's she was known for her ability to match and coordinate colors as well as selling window coverings. She had a green thumb and could grow most plants. She loved working in her greenhouse and being outside in the garden. In the spring of the year, she could be heard singing opera in the greenhouse while transplanting seedlings. God gave her a musical ear and a sweet lyrical soprano voice. She enjoyed entertaining and worshiping God with her voice. She could sew and alter costumes for the Opera Theatre. Her favorite musical was "The Pirates of Penzance." She not only performed but also altered costumes for the cast. She was a loving wife and caring mother.
